Refugee Hearing
A refugee claim may be made at the Canadian border, the airport or from within Canada. To qualify for refugee protection, you must meet the definition of a convention refugee or a person in need of protection.
A refugee claim may be made on one or more of the following grounds:

political opinion

race

religion
-
nationality
-
membership in a particular social group
You must have fear of returning to your country. You must prove that the government in your home country is incapable or disinclined to protect you.
